It’s hardly out of sow’s ears

Apparently, the geisha look is in. But was it ever really “out”? Not counting the fabrics that they sell by the thousands in Chinatown, vintage patterns in traditional kimonos and Japanese paintings are too beautiful to really be out. This mother-daughter team Chako Tokyo, the daughter half of which I met through a mutual friend, refashions vintage kimono fabrics into covetable purses. Not that I can imagine paying the hefty price for a tiny purse… oh, wait, I used to do that but for now, I’m just on the coveting part.
