It’s hardly out of sow’s ears

7 Jun

Apparently, the geisha look is in. But was it ever really “out”? Not counting the fabrics that they sell by the thousands in Chinatown, vintage patterns in traditional kimonos and Japanese paintings are too beautiful to really be out. This mother-daughter team Chako Tokyo, the daughter half of which I met through a mutual friend, refashions vintage kimono fabrics into covetable purses. Not that I can imagine paying the hefty price for a tiny purse… oh, wait, I used to do that but for now, I’m just on the coveting part.

I guess I need to travel the Orient side of the planet to understand better the concept. I still like Italian better 🙂

We all like Italian 🙂 But a touch of the exotic and vintage stuff is also welcome. I will have to include some Luca Luca here soon, I’m sure they have amazing stuff as well.
