Loose noose

23 May

I have a problem with necklaces: my neck can’t tolerate anything made of metal (read: gold, brass, silver, etc.). I could wear them, but only for short periods of time AND no sweating. So, for me to wear a necklace, it has to be pearls, fabrics or plastic beads. The problem is I like the hard-rock look of metallic chains hanging around my neck. This Fiona Paxton necklace combines my comfort considerations and my aspired-to classic, edgy style. Plus, it’s almost a salute to my roots – the pattern is reminiscent of T’boli beads from the Philippines. Of course, this necklace is beyond my price range but I can dream , plus I’m halfway there because I do own, and sometimes wear my T’boli beads – just another of my favorite things.
